The piece casts coarse mineral fragments together with transparent blue resin, bringing two densities and two senses of time into a single volume. The natural fracture is left unpolished, becoming the boundary where the resin appears to flow, pause, and harden like a coastline held in suspension.
The transparent volume refracts light through cavities and debris, continually altering their apparent depth, while the opaque stone preserves weight and erosion. By setting these materials against one another, the work asks whether artificial preservation can retain natural memory—and whether the boundary between solid and liquid is ever truly still.
