This pendant lamp design, which I like to call “Luminous Form,” emerged from my deep fascination with the ethereal interplay between light, sculpted form, and the unique qualities of translucent materials. My aspiration was to create a piece that functions not only as a source of gentle illumination but also as a quiet yet captivating sculptural statement within a room.
The distinctive silhouette, reminiscent of a perfectly balanced spinning top, was chosen for its inherent grace and sense of fluid, dynamic movement. I opted for hand-blown, smoked glass for the shade. This material allows the warm light from the internal bulb to diffuse in a soft, welcoming manner, fostering a cozy and inviting ambiance. The subtle transparency of the glass offers intriguing glimpses of the light source within, adding a beautiful layer of depth and visual texture.
