My core idea was to capture the moment our physical presence translates into an ethereal signal. The fine, colored contour lines that flow across the skin are meant to suggest this process, like a gentle scan turning flesh into data. These lines then break free from the constraints of the face, flowing outwards into the dark expanse of space as a serene, abstract waveform. This is the visual echo of a voice, a breath, or an unspoken thought made manifest.

I deliberately imbued the piece with a warm, retro-inspired aesthetic, using a subtle grain and a soft color palette to evoke a sense of nostalgia and dreamlike calm. It’s reminiscent of a memory viewed through a vintage screen. My ultimate hope is that “Human Signal” creates a quiet, atmospheric mood, inviting the viewer to contemplate the nature of communication, identity, and the beautiful, mysterious boundary where our analog selves become a signal traveling through the void.
